Step 1 – Washing

For best adhesion and a smooth surface, cleaning is always the first step. Grease, dust, and dirt will prevent the paint from adhering properly, so take some extra time here.

How to do it:

• Wash the surface with paint cleaner.
• Wipe the surface thoroughly with a cloth or microfiber cloth.
• Ensure all surfaces you intend to paint are clean – including edges and corners.
• Allow to dry completely before proceeding to sanding.

You will need:

• Paint Cleaner
• Microfiber Cloth 3-pack

Step 2 – Sanding

Sanding dulls the surface, removes irregularities, and helps the paint adhere better. This is especially important for previously painted or glossy surfaces.

How to do it:

• Lightly sand the entire surface with fine sandpaper.
• Focus on edges, corners, and any imperfections.
• Wipe away all sanding dust with a microfiber cloth or brush.

You will need:

• Sandpaper
• Microfiber Cloth 3-pack

Step 3 – Priming

Primer creates an even base, allowing the topcoat to adhere better and last longer. For untreated wood, priming is a must.

How to do it:

• Stir the primer thoroughly before use.
• Apply 1–2 coats depending on the substrate.
• Allow to dry according to the instructions on the can between coats.
• If necessary, you can lightly sand after priming for an extra smooth surface.

You will need:

• Wood & Furniture Primer
• Premium Varnish Brush (fully synthetic)

Step 4 – Topcoat

Now for the color! Here you build up the final surface with two even coats of joinery paint in your desired sheen.

How to do it:

• Apply a generous first coat of joinery paint.
• Allow to dry according to the product's recommendations.
• Lightly sand the surface and wipe away sanding dust.
• Apply a second, opaque coat for an even and smooth finish.

You will need:

• Brushes (fully synthetic)
• Roller Set Furniture & Joinery 10 cm
• Sandpaper

Tip: It's better to apply two thin coats than one thick coat. This results in a better-looking surface and reduces the risk of drips.
